Money orders must be sent with a deposit slip to JPay at the address below. NCDPS prison facilities do not accept or process money orders. Effective February 5, 2019, Prisons will restrict depositors into JPay to only those identified as approved visitors for that offender.
Any money order, cashiers check, or certified bank draft in the amount of $400 or higher will have a ten day hold placed on the funds. After ten days the funds will be available for the inmate's use. Money orders or cashiers checks only (up to $100 each) made payable to the inmate (including jail ID number) may be mailed or deposited in jail lobby drop-boxes for commissary use only. The purchaser’s name and mailing address must be filled in. Deposits must be made by midnight on Mondays for that week’s delivery.
